Vlog Ep 1: Mantic Games Terrain Crate 2 Unboxing

In the first episode of our new Skirmish Wargames vlog series, we unbox four urban scatter terrain sets from the Mantic Games Terrain Crate 2 Kickstarter campaign.

Though this particular Kickstarter offered a plethora of urban terrain sets to choose from, ranging from the trappings of a gothic manor, to the contents of a survivor’s stronghold, to the remnants of an abandoned office, we ultimately selected three sets from the Morneville Ruins collection.

These were Papers Please, Wrecks & Ruins and Crumbling Cottages, providing us with scatter terrain for an urban sentry post, a bombed-out streetscape and a long-abandoned house, respectively.

We also chose a cemetery and mausoleum set from the Bleakwood Hall terrain collection, giving us an additional crypt to add to our already sizable inventory of graveyard terrain. When we backed the Terrain Crate 2 Kickstarter campaign in July of 2019, we must have needed cemetery terrain more than we do now in August of 2020!

The Mantic terrain pieces we received appear to be made of high-grade PVC plastic and should work brilliantly for either tabletop wargaming or for contemporary or post-apocalyptic themed RPGs. Of course the Bleakwood Mausoleum set would work in virtually any period or genre. Spooky gothic graveyards, it seems, transcend space and time.
